Born in Tanzania, idealism and exploration of the world are part and parcel of my life. As such, though based in The Netherlands (I am Dutch), I have traveled a lot. My study choice was also in this field: one year of Anthropology and a full career in Spanish and Latin America Studies. A year, between highschool and university, of travel in Italy and Greece and voluntary work in France, brought a free and light spirit and the realization of ´cultural relativism´; the fact that the number of cultures is infinite and so, the way of doing things.

As work, I did translation, writing of a diverse kind (journalistic, fiction, travel, and economic), setting up a fundraising website and a foundation (Foundation Effort for Charities), and developing an idea for new economics and politics of which you find the video and the book (‘Eco-world’), on this website.

Geboren in Tanzania, zijn idealisme en avonturisme een essentieel onderdeel van mijn leven. Daarom heb ik, hoewel ik in Nederland woon (ik ben Nederlander), veel gereisd. En mijn studiekeuze lag ook op dit gebied: een jaar antropologie en een volledige studie Spaans- en Latijns-Amerika Studies. Een jaar, tussen de middelbare school en de  universiteit, van reizen door Italië en Griekenland en vrijwilligerswerk in Frankrijk, bracht een vrije en lichte geest en de realisatie van ‘cultuurrelativisme’; het feit dat het aantal culturen oneindig is en dus ook de manier waarop dingen worden gedaan.

Als werk deed ik vertalingen, schreef ik van uiteenlopende aard (journalistiek, fictie, reizen en economisch), zette ik een fondsenwervende website en een stichting op (Stichting Inzet voor Goede Doelen) en ontwikkelde ik een idee voor een nieuwe economie en politiek waarvan je de video en het boek (‘Eco-wereld’), vindt op deze website.

Nacido en Tanzania, el idealismo y la exploración del mundo son parte integrante de mi vida. Como tal, aunque resido en los Países Bajos (soy holandés), he viajado mucho. Y mi elección de estudios fue también en este campo: un año de Antropología y una carrera completa de Lengua Española y Estudios Latinoamericanos. Un año, entre colegio y universidad, de viajes por Italia y Grecia y trabajo voluntario en Francia, trajo un espíritu libre y ligero y la realización del “relativismo cultural”; el hecho de que el número de culturas es infinito y por tanto, la forma de hacer las cosas.

Né en Tanzanie, l’idéalisme et le goût de l’aventure font partie intégrante de ma vie. C’est pourquoi, bien que résidant aux Pays-Bas (je suis néerlandais), j’ai beaucoup voyagé. Mes études se sont également inscrites dans cette perspective : une année d’anthropologie et une licence en études hispaniques et latino-américaines. Une année entre le lycée et l’université, passée à voyager en Italie et en Grèce et à faire du bénévolat en France, m’a insufflé un esprit libre et léger ainsi qu’une prise de conscience du relativisme culturel : le nombre de cultures est infini, tout comme la diversité des pratiques.

Comme travail, j’ai traduit, écrit de diverses manières (journalisme, fiction, non-fiction et récits de voyage), créé un site web de collecte de fonds pour des solidarités et établi une fondation (Fondation Effort pour Charités), et donc développé un nouveau concept d´économie et de politique mondiales, dont le livre (‘Eco-monde’) et des résumés de ce livre sont disponibles à ce site web.
